(More customer reviews)The cotton was very soft and quite nice, and the sleep-sack design was what I was what I wanted. However, the velcro used on this item was VERY stiff & the edges VERY sharp. The velcro also stuck out over the edges of the fabric on the chest closure, and was easily felt on the exterior velcro for holding monitoring leads in place. This combined with the sharp pointy corners made this something I would NEVER put on my premature infant in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.) To me there was too much of a danger of scratching or cutting my sensitive newborn.
I'm sorry that the quailty of the fabric was completely ruined by the crappy quality of the velcro. Either softer backed velcro should be used, or switch to snaps.
I would never recommend this to anyone with a newborn.
