(More customer reviews)A lot of tops that are sold as "boat neck" are not true boat necks. This one is, with a lovely line straight across the collar bones. I bought it in black and it is true black, not a faded looking color. I haven't washed it yet, but I would recommend that it be washed in cold water and hung to dry. One reason is to maintain the true black and the other is because it runs very small. I bought it in medium and I generally wear a small or medium. I'm 5'8" and weigh 137 pounds. The medium barely fits. I'm keeping it and will see how it does in the wash. The fabric is soft and of medium to heavy weight. If the fabric retains its look and feel after washing, I will buy another one, but this time in size large. One last thing: If you're relatively tall, note that the top is not as long as it appears to be in the photo that shows it in blue.
