The length-adjustable straps are nice, and we added a carabiner clip across my son's chest to make sure the straps don't slide off of his shoulders when he has a full backpack. The soft neoprene is very comfortable for my son; it's not rigid at all. The backpack is roomy and the neoprene keeps fruit and snacks cool. I'm about to use this as his lunchbox this week with an ice pack and I expect it will work just fine.
We get stopped everywhere by people wanting to know where we got this backpack. It is much cuter in person than in the pictures and my son absolutely loves it. I couldn't be happier with the looks, the size or the usefulness. It's not cheap, but it keeps things cold, has plenty of room for toys and books, and is machine washable. What more can you ask for?
