before I bought it I noticed it was the burnout style (slightly see-thru in spots) I figured it wouldn't be so bad if I wore nude underwear no one would notice... not the case THIS IS VERY MUCH SEE-THRU I could make out every freckle on my butt (the underwear was clearly seen).
Granted where the pattern (on the dress) lies it is not as see through. Only through the white parts it is noticeable because the pattern breaks up the lines of your body/underwear. If the pattern was in the crotch and butt area I could have gotten away with wearing it with underwear. But the one I got has no design on the butt (the patterns may be anywhere on any given dress since its part of the look. so you might luck out)
That being said this dress is perfect for over a bathing suit. The material is not heavy at all when they say featherweight they mean it. Also there is a drawstring in each side so you have the option of tightening (tying) the waist so it defines your waist better. Very cute and comfortable I absolutely love it and can't wait to wear it to the beach!
